ZTE Mobile today launched 6 new handsets in the Philippines with the ZTE Skate as its flagship Android smartphone.
We first saw the ZTE Skate in June 2011
during CommunicAsia in Singapore. Back then, it was only running Froyo
and clocked at 800MHz.
The model they are releasing in the Philippines is running a
SnapDragon S2 1.0GHz processor and updated to Gingerbread. ZTE execs
tell us the ICS update will come out soon.
ZTE Mobile is positioning the Skate as the most affordable 4.3-inch handset in the market.
